The IAVM Foundation raises funds in order to educate our members, advocate for issues that are important to them, and inspire professional growth. Education, advocacy and inspiration are all necessary to provide a professional workforce, with knowledge and resources to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the public, security of venues, and business results that add to a community’s economic development and quality of life.
The IAVM Foundation ….
  • Is crucial to the funding, launch and establishment of all educational resources, events, and certifications created for strengthening the venues and industries they serve.
    • Funding of the alignment of IAVM’s Security Guidelines with the Department of Homeland Security Safety Act Certification through the Secure Venues Portal, which will launch at soon. This is currently being supported by Foundation funds.
    • Funding of future educational programs as the needs arise within the industry
    • Funding of the launch of current educational resources:
      • VMS
      • AVSS
      • CVE and CVP Certification
  • Funds, and is a strong voice, in the advocacy for issues important to the event, meetings, and cultural venue management industry.
    • Legal issues that arise and may affect the industry
    • Emergency funding in case of disasters, both natural and man-made, that affect member venues
  • Inspires others to grow, change, and make a positive difference by providing advanced professional development opportunities.
    • Joseph A. Floreano Scholarship & Internship Program – 20 sector scholarships and 10 internships annually to VenueConnect
    • 30IUNDERI30 Program – 30 scholarships to VenueConnect annually
    • 100+ Women of IAVM – 5 scholarships to VenueConnect, 2 scholarships to AVSS annually
    • Diversity & Inclusion Initiative (Dollars for Diversity) – 2 scholarships annually
