The IAVM Foundation Legacy Award may be awarded annually (though not necessarily annually) to an individual or organization who, in the opinion of the IAVM Foundation Board of Trustees has made a significant contribution (financial and/or non-financial) to benefit the mission and objectives of the IAVM Foundation.
Criteria: The following are established as nominee criteria for the IAVM Foundation Legacy Award.
- The nominee may be from any IAVM membership category or from outside of the Association in a related field.
- No Chair of IAVM or Chair of the IAVM Foundation is eligible for consideration until the third Annual Conference (VenueConnect) following their term of office.
- Previous recipients are ineligible.
- The award may be given posthumously.
Nomination Process:
- Any member in good standing may make a nomination in writing. Nominations should provide examples of the nominee’s outstanding contributions to the IAVM Foundation in alignment with the below criteria;
- Outstanding financial and non-financial contributions & service to the Foundation over an extended period of time
- Three letters of recommendation addressing the same criteria must accompany the nomination. Letters may be submitted by anyone with knowledge of the nominees service to the Foundation.
- Complete nomination packets, including all letters of recommendation, must be submitted to the President and CEO of the IAVM via this form.
