iCommit is a member referral campaign. The challenge is to increase membership by 10%. The current campaign launched July 2023 and ends March 2024.

For each new member you refer during the campaign cycle, your name will be entered into a raffle to win one of five, $500 Apple Gift Cards. The more members you refer, the more chances you have to win!

• The grand prize will be a complimentary registration to VenueConnect 2024 (value up to $1,000).
• Win one of five, $500 Apple Gift cards – receive one raffle entry for each new member you refer.
• The IAVM Region that adds the most new members will choose one recipient to apply for the CVP designation; we will waive the $125 application fee (the Region Director will choose the recipient within the winning region).

JustOne is the membership annual recruitment campaign which encourages IAVM’s volunteer leaders to recruit one new member. The campaign runs from March – June 30, 2023. Who makes up the IAVM Leadership? The IAVM Board of Directors, Foundation Board of Trustees, Regents, Governors, Committees and Task Forces spread the word about the value of IAVM membership.

Last year, our volunteers recruited 49 new members… quite an achievement during a pandemic. Region 5 led the effort with 21 members. Kudos to Andrea Smalls, Director of Event Operations at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, Georgia, as she was the lead recruiter by referring 8 new members.

IAVM’s members believe in the networking, engagement, professional development, research and information, and mentoring resources that the Association provides. These are solid reasons to tell our story to potential new members.

GOAL: We currently have 300 individuals involved in IAVM’s governance. If everyone referred just one new member it will give us 100% participation by our leadership in 2023, potentially adding another 300 new members.

Why is this important? IAVM’s governance is working hard to identify the next round of leaders that will propel IAVM into the future and new heights, but more importantly, provide you with expanded connections to give you more vibrant experiences and discussions at our schools and conferences, face-to-face and virtually. By having a larger more diverse network, everyone benefits.
