The Academy for Venue Safety and Security (AVSS) is IAVM’s preeminent safety and security program!

Enrollment for AVSS 2023 is forecasted to be greater than existing capacity. Space will be allocated to registrants on a first come first served basis.  Sign up now to be placed on the notification list to be given access to early enrollment, as well as for the opportunity to join virtual meetings with the 2023 Faculty.  These meetings are intended to give all students a chance to meet the instructors, ask questions, and begin networking with other attendees.

You will also receive information of a brand new and exciting addition to the AVSS 2023 curriculum. This new course is being developed for early career professionals interested in a career in the safety and security industry, or to improve their fundamental safety and security knowledge.

Venue Management School (VMS) and the Graduate Institute (VMS-GI), are considered two of the best professional education programs available for venue managers. Those new to the industry, or managers looking to expand their overall understanding, will find solid principles and practices for venue management in the VMS program. Venue professionals can further expand their universe of management and leadership skills and understanding by attending the Graduate Institute.

The IAVM Board of Governors is partnering with Georgetown University to reimagine the Senior Executive Symposium (SES). Building on the outstanding education and networking offered by past SES events, the new SES promises to meet the educational needs of senior leaders in our industry and elevate the educational experience. The full multi-day SES event will take place in the Fall of 2022 at Georgetown University.
