Mission:

The Committee works with IAVM management to promote the venue management industry with students, recent graduates, and venue professionals under the age of 30. It acts as a think tank for to understand the needs and wants of members to ensure the organization is bringing them value and raising awareness of the industry. The majority of the members of this committee may be 30 years of age or under.

Roles and Responsibilities of Committee Members:

1. Collaborate with IAVM staff to provide a platform to engage students and young professionals within the venue industry, as well as provide educational resources and networking opportunities.
2. Recruit industry professionals to talk to students interested in a career in the industry.
3. Assist IAVM staff with student member renewals or transition after graduation.
4. Author at least one VenueNet blog post per month or 10 VenueNet replies regarding YP content during the term.
5. Host two Student Webinars in the spring and fall each year utilizing the Discover IAVM branding.
6. Promote the 30|UNDER|30 program.
7. Submit ideas and topics for educational content for appropriate events for professional development for this segment of the membership as requested by IAVM staff.
8. Each individual committee member will handle their assigned new member welcome calls to Student and Young Professionals with agreed upon timelines.
