Mission:

Enhance industry relationships and profile of IAVM for the public assembly venue management professional and position IAVM as an international leader in the profession with related concerns by providing insight, recommended answers or positions; and proactively pursuing industry representation of legislative issues and positions of advocacy.

Roles and Responsibilities of Committee Members:

1. Collaborate with IAVM staff to provide provisional guidance for industry related issues and positions. The following areas are possible issues/positions that the committee will discuss: Public Relations/Advocacy; Ticketing; Industry Legislation; Technology Issues; Industry Relations; Branding.
2. Provide assistance with IAVM’s advocacy work that may include petitioning/contacting their respective elected municipal/state/provincial/federal representative. IAVM staff understands due to restrictions placed on them by either their management company or board, they may not be able to contact elected officials.
3. Provide content for VP Magazine on industry related issues and/or information and write one or more blog post(s).
