Convention Centers Committee
Mission:
The committee represents and advocates for the global interests of the convention center community.nd provides educational programming on convention center & convention center sales related topics.
Roles and Responsibilities of Committee Members:
- Collaborate with IAVM staff to provide convention center venue & convention center sales specific programming as required.
- Provide assistance with IAVM’s advocacy work that may include petitioning/contacting their respective elected municipal/state/provincial/federal representative. IAVM staff understands due to restrictions placed on them by either their management company or board, they may not be able to contact elected officials.
- Provide content for VP Magazine around convention center topics and write one or more blog post(s).
- Each individual committee member will begin or continue one thread on VenueNet each month.
