Description:

LEED, ASTM/APEX…the alphabet soup of sustainable building standards can be overwhelming and confusing, leading venue managers to just give up on sustainability certification altogether. This is where we can help! Learn how standards can help your venue achieve its sustainability goals by directing the process through a checklist of best practices and increase the credibility of your efforts through 3rd party certification.

Part 1 of our 30 minute “speedinar” series will review both standards using real case studies in the convention and sports venue industry. At the end of the session participants will have the following skills and tools:
• An understanding of the similarities and differences between the two main venue sustainability standards, and the benefits of both.
• Access to templates for tracking performance to both standards: waste, energy, water, and purchasing.
• Overview of the certification process for both standards.
