The International Association of Assembly Managers and Venue Management Association Form Affiliation Agreement

The International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc. (IAAM) is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors approved a joint agreement with the Venue Management Association (Asia & Pacific) Ltd. This affiliation will establish an alliance between the two groups to support international growth and membership benefits.

The agreement allows the associations to expand their international membership specifically in the Asia Pacific region. It will provide a collaborative approach to public assembly facility management such as, educational programming, diverse membership, products and services, and networking opportunities.
Larry Perkins, CFE, IAAM president said, “This agreement will strengthen the impact of the two largest public assembly facility management associations in the world; thus allowing our members the chance to forge diverse relationships. By encompassing a world view of our profession we will better serve the industry as a whole.”

VMA president Rod Pilbeam said, “We are pleased to be with joining IAAM to expand international efforts, particularly in this region. I believe that this joint effort will provide members of both associations valuable resources and relationships that will strengthen our industry, globally.”

The agreement provides for members of VMA to also receive full membership benefits with IAAM including, access to member contact information, training resources, intellectual property, and industry publications. This affiliation aligns the two largest public venue management associations, forming a combined membership of almost 4,000 venue managers and industry stakeholders.
