Turner Madden Elected Chairman of the Partnership for Critical
Infrastructure Security
The International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) announced the
election of the Association’s legal representative, Turner Madden, Esq.,
as Chairman of the Partnership for Critical Infrastructure (PCIS).
"In the ongoing efforts to protect the Nation's critical infrastructure,
the PCIS fills an important role in providing the Sector Coordinating
Councils a venue to speak with one voice on critical infrastructure
issues, “ said Major General James Snyder, Deputy Assistant Secretary
for Infrastructure Protection at the Department of Homeland Security
(DHS). “As PCIS Vice Chairman and long-standing PCIS member, Turner
Madden has already demonstrated dedication to both the PCIS and the
critical infrastructure community. Our partnership [with IAAM] and
Madden’s experienced leadership lays the foundation for the future
success of PCIS."
The PCIS serves as an umbrella organization to private businesses for
the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. PCIS includes two leaders from
each of the 18 Sector Coordinating Councils (SCCs). PCIS enables the
private sector owners and operators of the nation's most critical
infrastructures to collaborate on many security issues including efforts
to develop and implement protective measures. PCIS is designated as the
Private Sector Cross-Sector Council in the National Infrastructure
Protection Plan. It provides a forum to construct trusted relationships
and collaboration across sectors to improve emergency readiness and
build safe, secure, and resilient infrastructures. PCIS is committed to
broaden the scope and depth of the SCCs through regional, state and
local information sharing networks. As Chairman of PCIS, and as a part
of the senior leadership for DHS, Turner will further IAAM's
relationship with the new administration and the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security.
“This election underscores the value of Turner’s leadership in this
critical area as well as the respect from the other stakeholders in
IAAM’s role to minimize terrorist activity,” says Dexter King, CFE,
Executive Director of IAAM. “Turner serves our association and its
members in an incredible way.”
The International Association of Assembly Managers is the world's
largest professional association dedicated to issues relevant to the
management of public assembly venues. Members of the association manage
public assembly venues such as amphitheaters, arenas, auditoriums,
convention centers/exhibit halls, performing arts venues, stadiums and
university complexes; or provide products, services or attractions to
support the industry. IAAM has more than 3,600 members worldwide. More
