Steve Peters, CFE Nominated for IAAM Second Vice President

Coppell, TX--The International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc. is pleased to announce the nomination of Steven L. Peters, CFE for Second Vice President. The membership will vote on the nomination at the business meeting scheduled during the upcoming 80th Annual Conference & Trade Show, July 15th – 19th to be held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Steve Peters, CFE has 31 years of facility management experience. He holds an MFA in Arts Administration from the University of Iowa. He has served as Director of the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa; Executive Director of the Iowa State Center at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa; and opening season Executive Director of the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Peters held the position of National Director of Operations and later, Vice President for Ogden Entertainment, Inc., and was responsible for the on-going management supervision of the some twenty Ogden facilities throughout the United States. In 1996, he formed Compass Facility Management, a full-service public facility management company.

Mr. Peters has previously served IAAM as a board member and District Vice President, and was a member of the first Board of Regents for IAAM’s Public Assembly Facility Management School where he served as an instructor for six years. Peters has written articles for several publications, including Performance Magazine and Facility Manager.
