IAAM Board of Governors Announces the Creation of the John E. Christison Award
CCoppell, TX – John B. Bolton CFE, General Manager of SMG Evansville and Chair of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) Board of Governors (BOG) is pleased to announce that the John E. Christison Award will be presented to John E. Christison, CFE at the IAAM Senior Executive Symposium (SES) this summer. This is a newly established recognition for an individual who has unselfishly given his/her time and talents in such a way that it has significantly contributed to the IAAM BOG and/or the IAAM Senior Executive Symposium.

In 1995 during his presidency of IAAM, Mr. Christison had the vision to create a much needed educational program designed for the experienced facility manager. With his leadership the IAAM BOG was formed to create the SES, which has expanded from a one year to a three year program. Each year is unique and includes an array of thought-provoking topics such as Strategic Decision-Making, Value Analysis and Engineering, Creating Strategic Advantage, Change Management, Ethical Dimensions of Leadership and Applied HR Strategies. The SES is held each June at the prestigious Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Mr. Bolton said, “John E. Christison CFE more than meets the criteria established for this award and it is indeed fitting for him to be its first recipient. Furthermore, recognizing him in this way will help set a measuring benchmark for future nominees.”

The BOG will present the award to Mr. Christison on June 28, 2007 at the SES closing banquet. Those senior executives who are interested in attending the SES can submit an application online at www.iaam.org, or contact IAAM’s Director of Education Dana Glazier at the World Headquarters for a form – (972) 906-7441, dana.glazier@iaam.org. Apply before March 23, 2007 to save on your tuition.
