For Immediate Release September 19, 2006 Contact: Kim Cook (972) 906-7441 www.iaam.org Convention Industry Experts To Headline IAAM’s 25th Convention Center Conference Coppell, TX—The International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc. is hosting the 25th Anniversary International Convention Center Conference (ICCC) in Denver, CO from October 12-14, 2006. ICCC brings together related industry professionals, venue management and exhibition industry leaders to share views, and allows for discussions on varied topics concerning industry mission, visions and business practices. Keynote Scott Friedman, CSP, will discuss "Connecting with Customers" and how to move beyond customer satisfaction to create a memorable experience that builds the perceived value of a facility. The Flexible Venue: Convention Center Outlook Michael Hughes, Associate Publisher/Director of Research of Tradeshow Week, will present a current analysis of the demands in flexibility for venues. The presentation will include an outlook on venue pricing, supply and demand, and changing trends. CVBs and Convention Centers – Partnerships for Better or Worse? The partnership and dialogue between IAAM and the Destination Marketing Association International continues with representatives discussing the recent changes in the relationships between venues and convention and visitors bureaus and what the future holds. Another related association, the Exhibition Services & Contractors Association will present The Future of Cooperation: Contractors in Your Facility to discuss how venues and contractors can work together to provide a better customer experience. Panels of internationally recognized leaders in convention and exhibition centers will come together to present topics such as “Designing for the Future”, “Connecting Tomorrow...Today: Technology Innovations,” “It’s a Small World After All: International Insights” and the Show Producers and Convention Organizers panel. Representatives of PriceWaterhouseCoopers will present the initial findings from the 2006 Convention Center and Facility Benchmarking Report. Also, introductory sessions and computer lab classes will be conducted on the Vulnerability Identification Self-Assessment Tool for convention centers.
