HOK Sport Venue Event Makes $60,000 Gift to IAAM Foundation

Coppell, TX—The International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) and the IAAM Foundation are pleased to announce HOK Sport Venue Event as an IAAM "Global Supporter" Sponsor beginning this year, which includes a $60,000 charitable major gift from HOK to the IAAM Foundation.

"IAAM’s relationship with HOK is built on years of common industry goals and we are privileged to be the recipient of such a remarkable gift," said IAAM Foundation Chair, Joan LeMahieu. “HOK’s contribution to the IAAM Foundation allows us to deliver our mission to the industry, focusing on our priorities of professional development for the venue workforce, safety and security, emerging trends and practices, and research.”

“IAAM long has been a friend of HOK Sport Venue Event,” said Rick Martin, AIA, HOK senior principal. “Supporting those organizations such as IAAM, who have helped us become a market leader, is a priority of ours, and we hope that our donation to the IAAM Foundation will help the industry continue to prosper.”

The IAAM Global Sponsorship program is designed to support both the perpetual advancement of the industry through the IAAM Foundation and sponsorship support for IAAM’s programs in a year-round package.

A leader in sustainable architecture, HOK’s sponsorship with IAAM will enable wider attention to the “greening” of the public assembly venue industry. HOK will be the first Official Green Sponsor of the IAAM 83rd Annual Conference & Trade Show, in Anaheim, CA, July 25-29, 2008.

IAAM Executive Director, Dexter King, CFE, said, “Sustainability practices are an integral part of our industry that will result in improving the planet for future generations. We’re committed to developing leadership and sharing best practices in sustainability industry-wide and the HOK Global Sponsorship will help to accomplish this goal.”
