David Ross, CFE inaugurated at the IAAM 80th Annual Conference & Trade Show
Coppell, TX--The International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc. completed a successful meeting at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., July 15-19, 2005. Registration totaled 3,195 individuals involved in the public assembly facility management industry. During the conference, David Ross, CFE, director of the Show Me Center at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO was inducted as the president of the association.

“I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to serve the association,” said Ross. “I am incredibly fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. And I promise that no one will work harder for the continued success of IAAM.”

Ross selected “Making a Difference” as the theme for his presidential year. He encouraged all members as individuals, companies and as an association to make a difference in the industry and the lives of the people served by the industry.

Installation of other officers for the upcoming year also occurred in Washington, D.C. Larry Perkins, CFE, CMP, CPP, Assistant General Manager of the RBC Center/Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, NC, moved to 1st Vice President. Steve Peters, CFE, President of Compass Facility Management was voted in by the membership as the 2nd Vice President.

A sold out trade show featured the first ever Combined Trade Show with the National Association of Concessionaires. A total of 359 exhibiting companies attended the show. The 81st IAAM Annual Conference & Trade Show is set to take place August 4-8, 2006 in San Antonio, TX.

The International Association of Assembly Managers is the world's largest professional association dedicated to issues relevant to the management of public assembly facilities.
