Dana Glazier Earns CAE
Coppell, TX--The
International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc.
is pleased to announce that Director of Education,
Dana Glazier, has earned the designation of
Certified Association Executive.
"Earning the Certified Association Executive (CAE)
designation has been on my radar since I started my
career in the association profession. I have grown a
lot personally and professionally through the
meticulous process of obtaining the designation and
I look forward to translating the education
accumulated into member value at IAAM. I am
appreciative for the support of my current and
previous bosses, Dexter King, CFE and Don Hancock,
CAE. Their encouragement was invaluable during this
process," said Glazier.
According to the American Society of Association
Executives, the CAE is the highest professional
credential in the association industry. Less than
five percent of all association professionals have
earned the CAE. It is a rigorous program that
requires an individual to have a minimum of 3 years
experience in nonprofit organizational management,
as well as, complete a minimum of 75 hours of
specialized professional development, pass a
stringent examination in association management and
pledge to uphold a code of ethics.
IAAM Executive Director, Dexter King, CFE, said “We
could not be more pleased on the recent
accomplishment of Dana receiving her CAE. We always
encourage professional growth at World Headquarters
and to see a staff member obtain a goal such as
this, is magnificent. This is more than just a
personal victory, for Dana, as an association, we
all benefit from her knowledge. We look forward to
many more success stories."
In 2001, Glazier was hired by IAAM as the Resource
Center Coordinator to provide research, reference
and referral services to the members. She is now the
Director of Education and is responsible for the
educational content of the Annual and Venue specific
conferences, Certified Facilities Executive (CFE)
Program, Public Assembly Facility Management School
and Graduate Institute at Oglebay, and the Senior
Executive Symposium. Glazier earned her B.A. in
Psychology from the University of Texas in Arlington
and her Master of Library Studies from Texas Woman’s
University.
